About

Welcome, I’m Jason Cribbet and this is where I hope to compile much of my development ideas and opportunities so that one day, some problem or issue that I’ve encountered will help others out there much the same as many have helped me. I plan to keep this site primarily focused around development issues but I can’t promise that some other tech related topic might get discussed.

I work with Summit 7 Systems in Huntsville, Alabama as a Senior Developer where I provide custom developed SharePoint based solutions to a number of clients. Though most of our clients are within the commercial or local government arena, a great deal of my experience throughout my career has been targeted towards federal Department of Defense programs.

I transitioned to Summit 7 from Booz Allen Hamilton where I was an Associate focusing on SharePoint architecture and development. I worked out of Booz Allen’s Huntsville office where I supported multiple SharePoint initiatives and lead a team of developers to provide custom solutions centered around SharePoint Server 2010, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, and ASP.Net. Although my current technical arena is in web technologies, I have maintained a focus developing Microsoft based applications throughout my career.

Before Booz Allen, I worked for Sparta Inc. developing standalone .Net Windows Applications which integrated tightly with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications. Even earlier, I started my career with AcuSoft Inc. which was a small modeling and simulation company where I integrated Office applications with large scale combat simulators. I have always enjoyed working within the Microsoft stack and I can’t see that deviating anytime in the near future.

Personally, I’m a father, husband, hiker, camper, and general outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy looking for ways to utilize technology for my advantage outside of the office setting but yet, still believe in simply ‘unplugging’ from time to time.

I’ll probably expand this section as I go along but for now, that’s me in a nutshell. Please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn and Twitter or you can drop me a line through the Contact page.
